Gary Nelson

Gary Nelson is a professional consultant and facilitator to organizations that want to initiate major cultural change brought on by changing markets, acquisitions, mergers, rapid growth, or downsizing. He has the expertise and experience to facilitate and guide senior management in the development of a Strategic Plan and a Strategic Management System of implementation.

He conducts organizational diagnostics on mission, vision, values, strategies, business processes, and measurements to determine their impact on the business' bottom line results. He will then facilitate necessary changes through the alignment of systems which will support improved company profitability and growth. He is a strategic planning and master training consultant and facilitator. His practice is based upon the use of an outcome-oriented, Systems Thinking Approach™ Model.

His ability to facilitate and motivate executive teams has created a demand for him to conduct executive leadership and planning retreats. He is talented and experienced at coaching and motivating others, and is a popular speaker for conventions and conferences.

As the Director for Organizational and Management Development in Giant Industries Inc., a Southwestern refiner and marketer of petroleum products, Mr. Nelson directed the development and deployment of the Giant University Learning Center to support the systemic implementation of Giant'≠s Strategic Plan.

He has volunteered his services to churches, a religious community, and has served on the board of directors for a philanthropic foundation. Mr. Nelson is one of the Centre for Strategic Management partners who authored the recently published, "50 One-Minute Tips For Leaders."

Mr. Nelson earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Drake University. He acquired seventeen years of experience in operations, corporate management, and as a retail industry entrepreneur. Since 1985 he has professionally practiced at guiding companies through major organization change.
