Chander Mohan
Chander Mohan, born in a small picturesque town in the
foothills of the Himalayan mountains, was educated in Delhi, the capital of India.
After a few short stints in the Indian Air Force and private organizations, he started his
banking career in 1973 with Canara Bank, one of India's largest and most dynamic public
sector banks. After serving the bank in various middle and senior management positions
throughout India for 17 years, he parted company with Canara Bank to permanently settle in
Dubai. In between he managed to complete his M.B.A. as a practicing manager from a prime
institute in India.
Equipped with the relevant education and experience,
strong in communication and presentation, Chander Mohan decided to move
from the hard-core banking career to HRD and joined Mashreq Bank, Dubai as the training
manager in 1990, the year in which the bank decided to shed its traditional image and
become a world-class organization through total strategic change and transformation. The
next six years were too involving, challenging, exciting, and rewarding to ever be
forgotten. The training department, under the leadership of Chander Mohan, took a major
share of the responsibility in facilitating the change process.
In 1996, it was again time to move forward to achieve his
personal mission of enriching and sharing his professional expertise with
a wider cross-section of business organizations, industries, people, community, and
society at large. A sweet good-bye to Mashreq Bank in 1996 saw the birth of Creative
Management Consultants, Dubai, with a carefully decided business credo of "Ambition
without Greed" and CMC's vision, mission, philosophy, business strategy, etc. in
place.
In addition to his responsibilities as CMC's executive
director, Chander Mohan actively handles various training and consultancy
assignments. During the last eight years, he has trained over 7,000 personnel in TQM,
performance management, leadership development, etc. in UAE, India, Pakistan, USA, and
some Gulf countries. He has delivered a number of honorary presentations to various
professional groups, educational institutions, and non-profit associations. He has
received extensive training from world-class organizations such as ODI, Boston; Covey
Leadership Centre, Utah; Kaizan Training, UK, etc. Global travelling, playing the organ,
creative cooking, family outings, and intellectual debating are some of his favorite past
times.
