Management and Support Team
Stephen Haines is the founder and CEO of the Haines Centre for Strategic Management , based in San Diego, CA, Steve is the world's foremost authority, leader and speaker in The Systems Thinking Approach® to the field of Strategic Management. Stephen has an M.S.A. in Organization Behavior with a minor in financial management from George Washington University and has completed his coursework requirements and dissertation research for an Ed.D. in Management from Temple University. He received his B.S. degree in Engineering (minor in foreign affairs) from the U.S. Naval Academy, at Annapolis, MD, and is a graduate of the DoD Human Goals Institute. As a former U.S. Naval officer, Stephen flew Navy jets, piloted ships, and served off Vietnam. He was a member of the famed U.S. Naval Academy class of 1968, that graduated many prominent leaders in today’s world of business, government, the military, and industry.
He has been on nine Boards of Directors, including chair of a Credit Union. His personal interests include family, community service, sports, sailing, travel, photography, art, and design.
Joyce Evans joined the Haines Centre in 2006 and is our Director of Operations for Assessments. Joyce possesses skills learned in various administrative settings before and since coming to San Diego six years ago. In her free time, she enjoys reading, cooking and spending time with friends, family and her puppy.
Jenna Murobayashi is our Graphic Design Manager. She designs all marketing materials including flyers, catalogues, brochures, advertisements, and other collateral for the Haines Centre. Through her work she helps to ensure the high quality and integrity of our brand, products, and services. Jenna graduated from San Diego State University with a B.A. in Graphic Design.
Simon Dukes joined the Haines Centre team in 2005 as a web designer and developer. With more than 20 years in the graphics industry mostly in his native England, Simon has a wealth of knowledge in all aspects of graphics and the web. Recently married, he enjoys the wonderful San Diego climate and exploring his new home town.
Cathy Ryan is the Haines Centre Services and Events Manager. She manages workshops/certifications/executive briefings/events webinar registrations, logistics, customer service and other administrative task.
Cathy was born in San Diego, CA and has lived there all of her life. She earned her degree in Journalism in 1982. She has many years experience in the administrative area of mortgage lending, managing a publishing company, graphic design, marketing and other industries. She brings with her more than 35 years of work experience. She is a grandmother of four and single.
Kelly Tubbs-Ryan is the Customer Service Specialist at the Haines Centre. Kelly has 25+ years experience in Customer Service and in the Administrative field.
Kelly was born and raised here in San Diego, California. Kelly looks forward to her new position and is very enthusiastic to do the best job possible for the Haines Centre.
Jeanette Calo is the Editorial Director for the Haines Centre. She assists Steve Haines in writing and editing books, articles and proposals, and also handles the marketing of these products. Jeanette has an M.A. in English from Seton Hall University, and has experience as a journalist, newspaper columnist, magazine editor and college professor. A New Jersey native, Jeanette moved to San Diego in 2009 to marry her best friend.
Justin Acosta provides the Marketing and Customer Service Support to the Haines Centre. Born and raised in San Diego, he is working towards transferring to a four-year University, where he hopes to major in Marketing. Justin brings five years of customer service experience to the Haines Centre.
