Valerie MacLeod, M.B.A.

Valerie MacLeod has been facilitating, coaching and training for over twenty years. She is an enthusiastic business consultant who helps organizations generate extraordinary results and experiences by guiding them through a unique strategic thinking process. Valerie is a skilled and insightful facilitator, coach and trainer who is passionate about helping clients to "plan their work and work their plan."

"My goal is to help people find their own answers," says Valerie. "My strength lies in asking the right questions."

Valerie is called in when people are not all pulling in the same direction or when the pieces need to be brought together into a coherent whole. Her considerable facilitation experience guides clients to determine the best direction to take and the first steps to move them forward.

Valerie specializes in the areas of planning, people, leadership and change. Positive and approachable, she tailors her work to the unique needs of each client. A natural teacher, Valerie has been assisting adults learn for most of her career. She is certified in Myers-Brigg Type Indicator training, strategic planning, change management and career planning.

She has facilitated both private and public workshops at the prestigious Banff Centre for Management; in Johannesburg, South Africa; in San Diego, Houston and New Orleans in the United States; for energy companies including BP, EnCana and Petro-Canada; for associations; and for municipal, provincial and federal governments.

Valerie is proud to be a Global Partner with the Haines Centre for Strategic Management, an international team of diverse Master Consultants. She has an M.B.A. in human resources from the University of Calgary and a Bachelor of Mathematics from the University of Waterloo. She has published a life planning book "Get Me Off the Treadmill!: Using Everyday Magic to Live an Extraordinary Life" and co-authored the business planning book "Destination Thinking".
